This past fall, we drove over to Skyline Drive in Virginia’s Shenandoah National Park. We went more or less on a whim, and arrived too late to drive the entire length of it. Yet we definitely got our money’s worth of beautiful autumn foliage.
On our way in, the ranger on duty warned us that they’re expecting pretty heavy fog about nine miles from the park entrance. That didn’t stop us (come on, we drove from Alexandria to see it!), and we actually managed to go quite a bit before the density of fog made it impossible to see anything.
I love Virginia.
