The Homestead is a rather sprawling building, which has more lounges than M*A*S*H had seasons (both things are definitely for an older crowd, see what I did there?). The lounges are absolutely beautiful, but I must say that Joe and I never ended up… lounging in any of them. It was just a little overwhelming to see so much seating, in such a grand environment. The place is like a museum. Literally, there are exhibits sprinkled in with chess boards and couches. The only exception was when we participated in the daily “high tea,” which was obviously delicious and worth the line. That was also where I awkwardly ran into my former high school principal, whom I proceeded to avoid for the rest of our stay there (I am that awkward, thanks).
Anyway, enjoy the view.
And, of course, there’s Jefferson’s personal carriage just chillin’ in the hallway.
