Ah, and we’re back to the not-so-regularly scheduled updates! I can’t believe I still have Homestead pictures to put up, but you know how it goes.
We participated in a few extracurricular activities during our stay. Joe took me on an early-evening snowmobile ride after the ski slopes closed, and also on a surprisingly terrifying horse ride through the mountains one morning. I’m not very good at not freaking out when the horse I’m on is cantering through rocky terrain. I only took pictures during this beautiful hike excursion we went on, simply because the other ones required both hands to be free.
Here you go, a select few memorable shots from the beautiful forest we explored.
It started snowing pretty heavily halfway through, which made everything even more beautiful.
And a few artistic interpretations just for kicks. That older man was posing for his wife, but I like him much more as a lonesome warrior of the forests. Also that mansion is just cool.
And, of course, we found the tree equivalent of Grumpy Cat
“It is cold and wet for the humans. Good.”
If you’d like to see more images from this forest hike, check out the natural texture shots I put up on 2lch, my site for design-related things.
